Gas Gas USA's Dale Malasek flew in a pre-production 2003 model PRO 280 recently, and has been busy showing the bike off to Dealers and riders around the Country.

The 2003 model receives a host of improvements. This machine definately feels considerably different than the '02.

The frame geometry has been altered, with the rake being increased by 1.3 degree's. This makes the bike feel much more stable in all situations. This bike turns incredibly well.

The carburettor is an all-new Del L'orto 26mm flat slide unit, resulting in much better response and improved metering. The motor also breathes much better thanks to a widened intake.

The airbox has been strengthened, and now features a solid deflector that prevents any water getting to the filter.

The clutch has been modified and the oil capacity increased to assist in cooling and consistency.

There is a new, larger cooling fan motor to assist in maintaining optimum engine temperature. A new center exhaust is much lighter than the '02 unit. A new magneto cover is now stronger and tighter. New rear engine mounts are lighter.

The whole package weighs about 3lb's less than the '02, making this bike about 10lb's lighter than it's closest rival!

The final production version will be here very soon. The 280 model will be available in red or blue.Contact your dealer to reserve yours!
