Gas Gas reveal the 2003 Trials Machines!
2002 marked the debut of the revolutionary Gas Gas PRO. Throughout the year this machine has demonstrated its superiority, taking 1st and 2nd places in the US Championship, leading the European Championship, and being the most popular machine at this years Scottish Six Days Trial... the ultimate test of Trials machinery.

The Gas Gas World Team have developed the PRO to new heights throughout the season. Anyone witnessing the Gas Gas pits at the 2002 US World Round in Duluth would have seen standard PRO models being ridden in essentially stock trim by such Trials luminaries as Steve Colley, Jordi Pascuet, Sam Connor, Tadeusz Blazusiak, plus Junior championship contenders Jeroni Fajardo and Taichi Tanaka.

Adam Raga, Marc Colomer and the great Jordi Tarres have been testing and developing the 2003 PRO. Raga and Colomer rode their 'Works' bikes in Duluth, and in competitions since. The improvements discovered in testing and in competition appear on the 2003 model PRO. The Gas Gas research and development department worked extremely closely with the Team, allowing new parts to be fabricated and tested as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Here's what we know so far... The chassis geometry has been altered, giving improved stability in all situations. There is a new one-piece air-box/ sub-chassis/seat unit with improved waterproofing. A new cylinder head results in a 'softer' power delivery, and a new oil sump increases oil capacity. A new clutch with greater oil capacity is used, with a new, stronger clutch cover, and a new system for circulating the fluid to keep it cool. A new ignition cover is also utilized.

Many other detail improvements have been made. As we get more details, we will post them to this site. Stay tuned, the 2003's are coming soon!
