I have a Gas Gas GT32,327cc,1991 model,watercooled. It has started leaking anti-freeze out of the top of the reservoir,out of the tube.My question is,is the cap a pressure type cap like that on a car or truck? Can the cap be rebuilt if so?or must it be replaced? Any help would be greatly appreciated.Also, I am still looking for a service manual for this bike,any suggestions? One more question,do the recommendations that Jim Snell has on the front page also pertain to this year of bike? Thank you,

The cap is a pressure type cap that helps to pressurize the system. This reduces cavitation at the water pump vane and raises the boiling point of the coolant two degrees for each pound of pressure. If there are no other signs of overheating, it may have lost some tension so what you may want to try first is to add a large o-ring that just fits into the radiator neck. This will take up the clearance. Make sure the flat rubber gasket is in good shape so it seals well. The caps are not rebuilt so if necessary it should be replaced. Add coolant just up to the bottom of the neck to allow some room for expansion when the coolant heats up. If overfilled, it's normal for the radiator to release some coolant when the engine warms up.

I think the same spec.s will work for your bike too. Check with your local Gas-Gas dealer to see if they can get you a copy of the excellent video service manual that Jim Snell is on. He explains everything you need to know, in simple terms, to owner-service your bike.

The 1992/93 bikes use a plastic reservoir tank and pressure cap. This is an assembly. Yes we would have this part. (FYI: We are famous for our 100% in stock policy and would have here in our warehouse any items that your 1993 bike will need including all original bodywork and all chassis/engine parts etc.) We would have also a reprint of the parts book (about 25 pages) with the explosion drawings etc. GasGas was a very small company in 1993 and a maintenance manual for the older bikes does not exist. However, Jon Stoodly is correct about the specifications. Everything except the fork oil and jetting info would apply to your bike as these standards have not changed.
