I just bought a 2000 321 Gas-Gas after riding a 1970's Cota for a long time. I really like the modern features, however, one area that has gone further than I can handle is the "light" feel on the throttle. I have a hard time modulating the power. Anything I can do?
Thanks in advance. Bill Bill, The 321's are great bikes and are adjustable for individual tastes quite easily. Here's some possible solutions: 1) Cut two coils off the slide return spring (raising the spring rate) and stretch throttle slide return spring a little to bring it back to the origional length. 2) Replace the Domino throttle tube with a black one if it is white (the black tube has a smaller ramp and is therefore a "slower" throttle). 3) Retard the ignition a little to decrease throttle response (this really smooths out the bigbores).
