Adam Raga... WORLD CHAMPION!!!
Adam Raga, at the tender age of just 20 years old, is the new Indoor World Champion. His victory in the end, came as no surprise, as Adam has totally dominated the series. He is the only rider to reach the podium at every single event, and he took the top step no less than 6 times in a 10 round series! His Gas Gas PRO behaved impeccably throughout, never missing a beat and always looking the sharpest of all the competition. It's long been recognised that Adam's potential would eventually take him to the top, but few expected it quite this early! Adam's unique riding style has become much more consistent this year, which bodes well for the outdoor series. For now, Gas Gas riders throughout the World can take pride in Adam's achievements, and the dominance of the amazing Gas Gas PRO!

The following is from Octagon's press release:

Madrid, 21 March

Adam Raga has become the new world indoor trial champion with only 20 years old. The Gas Gas rider completed the qualification lap and in that moment he took definitively the title. The win in the Madrid Indoor Trial was to Albert Cabestany, who closed his crowned year as world indoor champion with a victory in the last round at Indoor Series. The Japanese Takahisa Fujinami finished third place, this was his first podium position in the season.

Dougie Lampkin surprised everybody with three mistakes that put him out from the final for first time this year. Raga marked the best penalty point card with three failures, seven did Cabestany, nine Freixa, one less than his teammate, Fujinami.

The eight observed sections were attempted in the reverse order in the final, except section 3 and 6. The high jump and two double lane races completed the circuit in the event. Cabestany arrived with one point average ahead of Raga before the races. The Beta's rider defeated the new champion in the first double lane and, despite losing the second, the rider from Tarragona clinched his third win in season.

Almost 200 people from Ulldecona, town where Raga was born, arrived by bus in Madrid to support their rider in this great day. Near from 5,000 crowd witnessed the 16th edition of Madrid Indoor Trial, held in Vistalegre Palace.

This sunday all the riders who participated in Madrid make their debut in Spanish Championship. World Outdoor Series starts this coming 5th April in IrelandGP.
