Adam Raga strenghtens the first place with his win in Torino
Torino, 9th february.
Gas Gas' rider Adam Raga conquered his fourth victory in series after winning in Torino Indoor Trial, sixth round of the calendar. The Spaniard showed and excellent performance and was a little bit better than his rivals during all the event.
The italian round had six observed sections, with an spectacular waterfall, and two double lane races. In the second lap, the hazards were attempted in the reverse order than in the first, and the level of difficulty became higher.
Raga marked the best penalty points cards in qualification lap with only two failures. Doug Lampkin and Marc Freixa tied with Graham Jarvis moved into the final. The big surprise gave the poor result did by the defending champion Albert Cabestany, who fell until sixth position. With this result, the Spaniard has lost a lot of options to recover the title.
Raga dominated the second lap, too, while the other riders were collecting points through the sections. Freixa and Jarvis finished drawed again, but finally the Montesa's rider passed the Brit in the second tie break section.
Although Lampkin won the two races against Raga, he didn't do nothing to stop the fourth win in Series and the third successive for the Spaniard, which puts him with seven average points over Lampkin
