Vienna, 14th February.

Adam Raga has signed as a firm candidate to conquer the world indoor champion title after his win this night in Wien, seventh round in Series. The Gas Gas' rider completed another excelent performance. Indeed, he caught the victory specially in an incredible second lap, which the Spaniard cleaned the six obersevd sections. Now Raga has increased his average in the leadership and now is 12 points ahead of the Brit Dougie Lampkin, who finished third. Albert Cabestany returned to podium after his bad result in the previous round held in Torino.

More than 6,500 crowd witnessed the event at the Wiener Stadthalle. The circuit had six observed sections and one double lane race with a low level of difficulty. The Brit Steve Colley and the young japanese Fumitaka Nozaki participated in the trial as guest riders. Seven minutes became the time limit to face the first five hazards and one minute and a half of extra time to attempt the huge ladder section. In the second lap the sections were faced in the reverse order except the last, and all of them with only one minute of time.

Marc Freixa obtained the best result in the qualification lap with only three penalty points, although a five in the second section in the final put him very far from the victory. The Montesa-HRC, besides Raga, Cabestany and Lampkin, completed the four places in the final lap.

Raga gave no chance to his rivals after finishing the circuit without any failure. The Spaniard had two average points over Cabestany before the race, for that, the Gas Gas rider was enough finishing the section.
