Geoff Aaron eyes up title number 8!
Perfect Start for the 7 time Champion

Sequatchie, TN. April 3/4 2004.

Geoff Aaron's domination of the US National scene continued into 2004 with a clear double victory at the opening rounds at the Trials Training Center in Sequatchie Tennessee. Aaron, on both days, finished with less than half the score of his nearest rival.

In the off-season, many riders make improvements they think will make them competitive with Geoff, but each season Geoff steps it up even further. To put Geoffs performance into perspective it can, on this occassion, be compared against 1992 World Champ Tommi Ahvala, who was riding this event purely for exhibition. Tommi still rides almost daily, and remains as sharp as ever. On Saturday Geoff and Tommi both lost 17 points. Geoff had one more clean, so so beat out a former World Champ! Behind Geoff came fellow Gas Gas Pro rider Wilson Craig... way back on 35 points, with Ryon Bell a further point back on 36.

On Sunday, Geoff finished on a scant 11 ponts, with loops of 9, 2 and a phenomenal 0. Without the misfortunes of lap one, Geoff could well have beaten Tommi's score again. Tommi went 6, 2 & 0 for 8 points total.

Once again, the Gas Gas Pro dominated the proceedings. It's getting difficult to remember the last time a Gas Gas did not win a National... it was years ago!
